Saint Maria Goretti is known as the Martyr for Purity, but another title, just as fitting, is the Flower of Pardon. What a beautiful example she is for all of us! She took Christ's example of pardoning His enemies as her own when she forgave her own murderer, may we follow in her footsteps. Forgiveness and pardon are virtues which we are all in need of. If we could forgive those who trespass against us readily and without compromise, like Saint Maria, this world would find what it has been looking for since it was created - peace.
